Victims tied up in Mississauga overnight home invasion, police say – Toronto

Two Ajax men have been charged after an overnight home invasion in Mississauga earlier this week which involved the victims being tied up, Peel Regional Police to say.



In a statement on Wednesday, police said the incident occurred around 3 a.m. Tuesday in the Confederation Drive and Rathburn Road area.



According to the police, “several suspects” entered a house armed with firearms.

Police allege that the victims’ hands were tied and taped with duct tape and that a victim was assaulted. No serious injuries were reported.

The victims’ cell phones and laptops were stolen, along with two vehicles, police said.

Peel Police said they worked with the Toronto Police Service to arrest suspects in the Toronto area. The stolen vehicles were also recovered.

Mark-Anthony De Silva and Trevee Raympre, both 25, were charged with robbery, use of a fake firearm, wearing a disguise and possession of stolen property.
