A prison guard today admitted to having an affair with an abusive inmate who was jailed for 10 years for beating his girlfriend.

Alisha Fallows, 23, had an affair with vicious thug Damien Baxendale while behind bars.

Baxendale, 32, had been jailed after kicking and punching his girlfriend so hard that doctors said it looked like she was in a car accident.

Chelsea Hayes, 23, was left with bleeding brain, two fractured vertebrae and a fractured eye socket.

She was so swollen that her three-year-old daughter did not recognize her. Baxendale, from Bolton, Gtr Manchester met Fallows while serving his sentence at HMP Lancaster Farms in Lancashire.

She admitted a charge of misconduct in public office in that she had a relationship with a prisoner between November 3 last year and February 14.

Judge Philip Parry has warned her that she could be jailed when he convicts her on February 11.

He told her, “You have to understand that a custodial sentence will be at the forefront of my mind. ”

Her defense attorney, Patrick Williamson, said she had been “of good character” and had no previous convictions.

Fallow was released on bail, but the judge warned her that failure to appear for sentencing would be “a serious criminal offense in itself”.

Baxendale appeared via video link from HMP Liverpool where he had been transferred from his previous prison in Lancaster.

He admitted one count of possession of a prohibited object between October 1 and December 16 of last year. The court heard he had used it to contact Fallows who had used Tony Baxendale’s name to try to cover his tracks.

Holly Nelson’s defense said Baxendale wanted the sentence passed “as soon as possible”.

Baxendale attacked Miss Hayes in August 2013 and left her unconscious, her clothes torn and blood spattered in the rooms of her apartment in Bolton.

Bolton Crown Court has learned that her daughter Shernia did not recognize her.

Prosecutor Rachel White said a neighbor had him outside her apartment at 3 a.m. on August 3, kicking someone in the face “like he was kicking a balloon. soccer”.

When police arrived, Baxendale refused to let them in, claiming Miss Hayes was asleep, but relented when they threatened to force entry.

Miss White told the court: “Chelsea Hayes was seriously injured, gagged and unconscious.

“Baxendale claimed Miss Hayes had been drunk telling police it was ‘all her fault’ and claiming that she hit her head.”

The court heard that he also attacked another girlfriend. He pleaded guilty to intentionally causing grievous bodily harm and causing grievous bodily harm.

Baxendale was jailed for ten years with another four years licensed for the attack and the second assault.
