HELLO RED DEVIL FANS
Man Utd have won their first game since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking on Sunday.
The Red Devils beat Villarreal 2-0 away to secure their place in the Champions League round of 16.
Interim manager Michael Carrick dedicated the victory to Solskjaer’s sacking.
He told BT Sport: “We came here to win the game, I thought we would.
“We were ready and it was a tough game. The boys got in and showed a bit of everything.
“Let’s be honest, I don’t think anyone would have expected to come here and play football from the start.
“When you’ve suffered in terms of results and you’re not in great shape, it’s not easy to go out and let it all kick in.
“We had to dig and we had to fight and sometimes it didn’t work out our way and the game seemed to go away and then the subs had a huge impact. The boys gave it their all. . “
Meanwhile, transfer target Declan Rice is now attracting interest from a multitude of European clubs.
The 22-year-old West Ham captain is considered the “real deal” across Europe, according to Eurosport’s Dean Jones.
United managerial target Mauricio Pochettino said he was “happy in Paris”.
Speaking ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s UCL clash against Manchester City, he said: “My contract is until 2023 – this season and one more. I’m not saying anything different.
“I’m happy in Paris, that’s a fact. I am happy in Paris.
