“Play from your heart and express yourself” – Yuvraj Singh sends special wishes for India ahead of 2024 U19 World Cup final

Two-time World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh has wished Team India all the best ahead of the 2024 U19 World Cup final against Australia in Benoni on Sunday, February 11.

The legendary all-rounder urged the Men in Blue to express themselves and create a legacy for the future by winning their sixth World Cup trophy.

For those unaware, five-time champions India and two-time winners Australia are undefeated in the tournament. The Uday Saharan-led side defeated South Africa by two wickets in the semi-finals, while Australia defeated Pakistan by one wicket in a thrilling encounter.

Yuvraj wrote on his ex (formerly Twitter) handle:

“Our young and talented Under-19 boys team, we are cheering you all on as you head into the final today! Play with heart and express yourself. Winning the #WorldCup is not just about keeping a trophy, it is about igniting a legacy that will shine in the future. Best wishes!”

Yuvraj Singh played a key role in India's victories in the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup.


“We are ready to face all challenges” – Uday Saharan ahead of U19 World Cup final

India captain Uday Saharan has backed his team to give their best performance against Australia in the U19 World Cup final. The ICC quoted him as saying:

“We are very excited for the final. Everyone is fit and well prepared, and has a good mindset. We have seen the wickets. We have played there before and we know a lot about it. We are ready to face all challenges.”

Meanwhile, Australia's captain Hugh Wiebgen He said it would be interesting to see how the pitch behaves after the grass is removed from the same wicket that was used in the semi-finals. He said:

“The pitch looks a little different from what we saw [in the semi-final]He has cut some grass. [It] The game might be a little different than the other day, so yes, it will be interesting to watch. The boys also needed a good night's sleep before going back, but everyone is ready to go.
