“I’m really lucky to be the first person to lead a single demonstration team, I’m really lucky to have been selected for this job. It’s a really unique experience,” Wolfe said.
Part of the job is to go to air shows around the world, showcasing the multi-million dollar jet capability and the incredible skill of his team.
“It’s the latest and greatest thing we’ve ever gotten out of. We’re humbled to be a part of something like that,” Wolf said.
Inspired by his father, who was in the military and also a pilot, Wolf says it was a gift to grow up in a home where you were assured that you could be in any country wherever you wanted. Is possible
“I don’t remember my father seeing a lot of women because honestly about 3-4-3% of fighter pilots are women in the Air Force, but you get used to it,” Wolf said. “It becomes a non-event.”
One of her favorite things to do is watch the kids react when she takes off her helmet.
“You know, you never know who’s under that suit or under that helmet,” Wolf said. “I always tell kids that you can do it. It takes a lot of study and a lot of preparation, a little bit of luck and a little bit of time.”
