The Woods County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina issued a 911 call Monday from a man who claimed to have spoken with Brain Laundry on the Appalachian Trail along the Tennessee and North Carolina border.

Dennis Davis said he was walking down the aisle when he said he was approached by a man he thought was Brian Laundry. Davis said the man asked him how to get to California.

Davis told the 911 operator in an audio recording, “He was talking nonsense. He said his girlfriend loves him and he has to go to California to see her, and he was asking me How to get to California. ” He later added that he “believes 99.99%” that the man was a laundryman.
