A primary school has been taken over and “transformed” as part of the filming of hit detective show Grace.

Photos taken from the school show several lights being set up as well as a crew transforming the school for the shoot.

Gemma Chomanson, headteacher at Woodingdean Primary School, said: “It’s amazing, they’ve turned the school around in a matter of hours.”

Gemma added that she was recently approached by producers for the show who were looking for locations to film scenes.

Filming is taking place at the school while students are on holiday.

Film crews for the TV show have been seen filming at various locations in Brighton and Hove, including Brighton train station.

Filming is also taking place at the former Lidl supermarket in Burgess Hill, which was previously converted into a mortuary for the show.

The TV show, which stars John Simm as the titular detective, is gearing up for an upcoming third season of the show which is expected to air in 2023.
