Richard Madeley was forced to stop I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! after being taken to hospital overnight.



The Good Morning Britain presenter, 65, was rushed to hospital on Thursday 25 November and confirmed he was no longer able to participate in the rest of the series, leaving the rest of the cast behind. which includes Frankie Bridge, Louise minchin and naughty boy.

A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity confirmed Richard fell ill and needed medical assistance immediately, but assured him he was on the mend.



However, with the confirmation that he will no longer be at Gwrych Castle, what will happen next?

Although Richard did not say why he was taken to hospital, he assured fans he was “absolutely fine”.



In an Instagram post, he shared: “Richard here – first of all just to say I’m absolutely OK. precautionary measure.

By leaving the camp I had therefore broken the Covid ‘bubble’ and as such had to leave the castle and all the wonderful celebrities who remain in the camp.



“Obviously, I’m sorry to be leaving so early, but the safety of all campmates is the number one priority. I’m incredibly excited to see their journey continue… even more at the thought of being somewhere a little warmer than Gwrych Castle…

“Thank you to everyone who supported me on my brief but totally unforgettable adventure – I made great friends and honestly had a great time. “

Will Richard be replaced in I’m A Celeb?

An ITV spokesperson has confirmed that Richard will not be replaced, despite the presence of stars on standby.

“No replacement will enter the castle,” they said, after EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt and Corrie’s Simon Gregson arrived in the castle last night.

Richard will appear in the episode of Thursday, November 25 because the events will have been recorded the day before his transport to the hospital.

Afterwards, he will be seen cheering on his campmates for the final Bushtucker trial starring Adam and Simon.

ITV confirmed that it recorded a video message to broadcast to his fellow campmates and that he would speak to Ant and Dec on the Friday night show.
