Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier and Nichelle Turner host the awards ceremony, which returns to a full live ceremony at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. The 2020 edition went virtual for the first time due to COVID-19. Last year’s show was pre-taped with a limited audience.

The 49th Annual Awards airs Friday at 9:00 pm ET on CBS and streams on Paramount+.

Hosts include Drew Barrymore, Deirdre Hall, Tamron Hall and Cameron Matheson. Michael Bolton will sing his new song “Beautiful World” and perform on the In Memoriam segment.

For the first time, a soap and its spin-offs are pitted against each other in the daytime drama series category. Days of Our Lives on NBC goes up against streamer Peacock’s Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem. Also competing are The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless on both CBS and ABC’s General Hospital.
