1. Welver Christian (6-0) vs. Mountain Vista, 49-6.. The Eagles scored 21 points in the second quarter from start to finish. Next week: In Castle View, October 8 at 6 p.m.

2. Cherry Creek (5-1) No. 8 Cherokee Trail, won 41-10.. The Bruins trailed in the first quarter and led by just 3 points at halftime. But Cherry Creek scored four touchdowns in the second half to get out of the game. Next week: Vs. No. 5 Grand View, October 7 to October 8.

3. Columbine (6-1) won by Arora West, 21-18.. Rebel senior runner Seth Cromwell ran for a pair of touchdowns in a narrow victory over A-West. Next week: Vs. Lakewood, 7:30 p.m., Oct. 7.

4. Ralston Valley (6-0) won by Mullen, 40-14.. Mustangs senior quarterback Zack Friedman completed three touchdown passes. Next week: Vs. Pomona, October 7, October 7.

5. Won Grand View (5-1) vs. Smoky Hill, 23-6.. After abandoning the first quarter’s touchdown, the Wolves’ defense blocked Smoky Hill for the rest of the way as Grand View finished the game with 17 return points. Next week: No. 2 Cherry Creek, October 8 at 7 p.m.

6. Regis Jesuit (4-2) won against Chaparral, 56-14. Junior de Andre Barnes raced for a 64-yard touchdown in the third quarter as the Raiders scored 42 points after half-time. Next week: No. 7 on Legend, October 1, October 9.

7. Legend (5-1) Won vs. 4A No. 2 Pine Creek, 26-23. Titans senior runner Bryce Vaz ran for two touchdowns that night – including a 59-yard scamper in the closing zone. Next week: Vs. No. 6 Regis Jesuit, 1 pm October 9.

8. Cherokee Trail (4-2) vs. No. 2 Cherry Creek, 41-10. The Cougars took the lead late in the first quarter when the seniors ran for the Hayeslop touchdown. But the Cherokee Trail did not score again, winning the Bronze in the last three quarters. Next week: No. 9 at Arapahoe, October 7 at 7 p.m.

9. Arapahoe (5-1) won vs. Eagle Crust, 35-14.. The Warriors made the first four touchdowns of the game to win 28-0 in the third quarter and travel from there for their first victory over the Eagle Crest in at least 18 years. Next week: Vs. No. 8 Cherokee Trail, October 7 at 7 p.m.

10. Douglas County (5-0) vs. Doherty, Saturday 1 p.m.. Next week: 4A No. 2 Pine Creek, October 9 at 6 p.m.

Class 4A

1. Palmer Ridge (5-1) vs. No. 4 Montrose, 28-21. The Bears took a 21-14 lead in the first half with touchdown receptions by Anthony Costanzo and Aiden Snow. But Palmer Ridge failed to maintain its lead in the shocking loss. Next week: No. 8 Pondrosa, October 8 at 7 p.m.

2. Pine Creek (5-1) 5A No. 7 Legend, lost 26-23.. The Eagles are 3rd behind senior Josiah Roy’s sharp score in the fourth quarter. But Pine Creek was unable to finish its big school competition. Next week: 5A vs. 10 Douglas County, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m.

3. Dakota Ridge (6-0) vs. Beer Creek, 52-13.. The Eagles took a 31-0 lead in the second quarter and never looked back. Next week: At Lake Standley, October 8 at 4 p.m.

4. Montrose (6-0) won No. 1 Palmer Ridge, 28-21. Montreux held the Palmer Ridge without points in the second half and scored two touchdowns. Senior Cornerback Hunter Duke stopped a couple. Friday. Next week: Vs. Heritage, October 8 at 6 p.m.

5. Erie (6-0) vs. Silver Creek, won 51-21.. The Tigers had another victory. Next week: In Brighton, October 8 at 7 p.m.

6. Lowland (5-1) vs. Monarch, won 42-0.. The Red Whales Defense posted the third shutout of the season, Garrett Harsted threw two touchdowns and two more runs, and Lawland won for the 14th time in a row against 4A. Next week: On Skyline, October 9 at 1 p.m.
